Challengers Program

Designed for our dancers who want to be CHALLENGED!

We are proud to provide another opportunity to students who want to dedicate more of their time to the art and sport of dance.  Through more dedicated weekly rehearsals, team members will learn and compete 2 routines!  One Jazz based, one Contemporary based.

Competitive Teams

These teams for the dancers devoted to dance as their primary commitment.

Labeled as the Diamond, Emerald, and Ruby teams.

We compete in the “Intermediate Category” at 3 competitions in the spring!

For Ages 10+

Dancers MUST audition to make these teams.  Auditions are by invitation only.

Invitations are emailed after the recital.

Class Requirements:

• Performance Team

• Leaps and Turns (For Diamond and Emerald Only)

• Ballet

• Jazz or Contemporary

*Attendance to all classes and rehearsals is strictly enforced!

Dress Code:

• Fitted clothing of any solid color (no patterns)

• May include leotard, leggings, shorts with tights, fitted tank, fitted jacket or sleeved shirt.

• Clean hair pulled back in either ponytail or bun.

• Proper footwear for routines.

NEW! Recreational Team

This team is for dancers who love to perform and would like the competition experience but cannot devote as much time and commitment to dance.

This team is also suitable as a stepping stone for dancers who would like to reach the competitive teams but have not yet achieved the required skillsets.

Labeled as the Sapphire team.

We compete in the “Novice category” in 2 competitions in the spring!

For ages 12+

No audition is required.  Registration is by invitation only!

Invitations will be emailed after the recital.

• Jazz or Ballet

Dress Code:

• Fitted clothing of any solid color (no patterns)

• May include leotard, leggings, shorts with tights, fitted tank, fitted jacket or sleeved shirt.

• Clean hair pulled back in either ponytail or bun.

• Proper footwear for routines.

Upon invitation, if the dancer would still like to audition for the Competitive Teams, they are welcome, but their spot is not guaranteed. 

Introductory Team

This team is for our younger dancers who are looking to try the competitive experience!

Labeled the Glitter team.

We compete in the “Novice category” in 2 competitions in the spring!

For ages 7-11

Dancers may stay in this team for 1-3 years.

No audition is required.  Registration is by invitation only!

Invitations will be emailed after the recital.

• Jazz or Ballet

Dress Code:

• Fitted clothing of any solid color (no patterns)

• May include leotard, leggings, shorts with tights, fitted tank, fitted jacket or sleeved shirt.

• Clean hair pulled back in either ponytail or bun.

Hip Hop Team

This team is for dancers in Hip Hop level 3 and 4 who want to compete a more advanced group routine!

Ages 12+

We compete 1 routine in the “Intermediate category” in 3 competitions.

Dancers MUST audition.  Auditions:  September 16th, 2025

Requirements:

• Performance Team

• Challengers Team (Competitive or Recreational)

• Hip Hop 3 or 4

Dress Code:

• Black clothing, clean hair pulled back in either ponytail or bun.

• May include leotard, leggings, shorts with tights, sweatpants, loose Tshirts/tanks.

• Converse high-top sneakers (does not have to be brand name)

Production

Productions are 6-7 minute long routines that tell a story.  Usually derived from a known story line from musicals, movies, books, etc.  

This routine is rehearsed on Saturdays and moves quickly.  Their are main characters and ensemble parts.  

Character assessments are decided after the first month of classes.

Ages 10+

We compete in 3 competitions in the spring.

Dancers MUST audition.  Auditions are by invitation only.  It is the SAME audition as the competitive teams.

Invitations will be emailed after the recital.
